Meet Sharon M.

Sharon M Spruill is a dedicated community advocate with a passion for promoting social justice, equity and sustainable development.  With over 20 years of experience in grassroots organizing and community engagement, Sharon has successfully championed initiatives that empower marginalized voices and foster inclusive community development.

Throughout her career, Sharon has collaborated with diverse stakeholders, including local government agencies, non-profit organizations and community members, to address pressing social issues such as affordable housing, civic education and public health.  Sharon’s work is characterized by a commitment to building strong relationships and creating collaborative solutions that reflect the needs and aspirations of the community.

Sharon holds a certification in Business Administration from ICM School of Business, and is a graduate of Neighborhood Leadership Institute.  She has received recognition from Cleveland Central Promise Neighborhood as a 2024 Champion of Central for her work with the Civic Engagement Collaborative of Cleveland.  Sharon is known for her compassion, commitment, exceptional leadership skills and communications skills which has enabled her to effectively mobilize community members and advocate for meaningful change.

In addition to her advocacy work, Sharon is actively involved with Organizers and Allies as part of their leadership team, in addition to being involved in an Advanced Leadership program with the Cleveland Leadership Center.  She is a member of the John Hay Alumni Association which is her Alma Mater.

When not advocating for the community, Sharon enjoys reading, traveling and spending time with family and friends, further enriching her understanding of the diverse perspectives that shape our society.
